Fingertip Notes: Encaustic Collage Workshop

Public Events of the “Blues on White” Series

In the “Fingertip Notes: Encaustic Collage Workshop”, participants will blend powdered pigments and paints with molten wax, and experiment with various techniques on wooden panels. As the wax flows across the surface, each stroke and layer creates unique textures and effects, making every piece one of a kind.

What’s more special is that you can bring a personal item that holds a cherished memory—an old photo, a vintage object, or a handwritten letter—and embed it within the layers of wax. Beneath the textured surface are personal emotions and stories, capturing fragments of time.

The layers of wax and color echo the exhibition’s theme of time, trace, and stay; as the wax cools and solidifies, you will create your own “Journal of Warmth”—a personal keepsake infused with warmth, texture, and memory.
