Endless Reunions

“Reunion” is not merely an emotional echo, but also the reverberation of decades-long dialogue and intellectual collision between artists as the cultural context keeps shifting. Since the 1980s, Wang Guangyi, Zhang Xiaogang, and Zhu Jia have followed markedly different creative trajectories. Over four decades, they have never ceased to observe and respond to one another. Their reunions have taken many forms: viewing each other’s works at exhibitions, debating in seminars, or sharing late-night conversations over a bottle of wine and a plate of peanuts in everyday life.

This reunion at the Taikang Art Museum is not a lecture, but an “old friends’ episode” among artists.
