I like to use comparatively original, plain and daily materials to make artworks and to touch upon some deep relationships of myself, the surrounding world and the memory. These relationships are soft, secret, familiar yet strange.

The work “Cotton Quilt” was inspired by the feeling of “warm chilliness”. I used cotton and very soft and smooth cow leather after the process of tanning to make two cotton quilts. The warm and conformable natures of the cotton quilts, the heaviness of the cow leather and the trace of the past life of an animal carried by it produce a kind of expression: painful gentleness.
